62nd Anniversary of Independence of Israel

On April 29th, 2010, at the Hilton Colón Hotel in the city of Guayaquil, was held a dinner-concert for the celebration of the Sixty-Second Anniversary of Independence  of Israel, with the performance of the Israeli singer Shiri Maimon, which was attended by about 500 guests who included local authorities, the Ambassador of Israel to Ecuador Mr. Eyal Sela and other members of that Embassy, the Honorable Consular Corp of Guayaquil, the Jewish Community, Israel alumni and the press.

It also were special guests of this event students from FASINARM, an institution that provides training to children and young people with Down Syndrome, and elderly people residents of the Hospice Home Plaza Dañín.

During this celebration it was paid a special tribute to Mr. Cosme Ottati, First Former Fellow of Ecuador in Israel, who was handed a Certificate for the Planting of 120 trees in his name in the Ecuador Forest in Jerusalem.
