Performance of ¨Alila¨ Group
On May 6th, 2010, in the Centro Cultural Simón Bolivar, took place the performance of the musical group ¨Alila¨ as a sample of the Israel culture, expressing the strength, history and beauty of its people. The event was attended by the main local authorities, the Honorable Guayaquil Consular Corps, the Jewish Community, Israel alumni, press, among others.
Alila is a young and promising group from Israel. The music is based on strong melodic instruments (oud and violin) and on a solid spirited rhythm section (bass and percussion).
The musical influences are found in the game of each musician and a variety of topics, taken from Eastern music, Egyptian, Turkish, Moroccan, Yemeni or Persian, Indian music, Gypsy melodies from the Balkans, South American, African, Irish or modern styles as country music, jazz and even funk.
Alila began in 2006. Since its creation, the band has participated in the most respected stages and festivals in Israel, and has collaborated with the most important musicians over the world.
Alila´s first album, ¨En Isak,¨ was released in September, 2009. It is an independent production which took three years of musical work. The CD will be distributed soon worldwide, both in digital form and in music stores.
