Piano Concert of music compose in the concentration camps of Theresienstadt
The Consul General of Israel in Guayaquil along with the Boris Cepeda Foundation, hosted on Wednesday, September 30th , in the Teatro Centro Cívico, a music concert in which were combined pieces created by the composers Pavel Haas and Viktor Ullman during their confinement in the Concentration Camp of Theresienstadt along with texts written by other prisoners. The baritone Peter Schone, the stage director Barbara Kunze and the Ecuadorian pianist Boris Cepeda, in a semi-theatrical presentation captured the atmosphere of despair, the longing to return home and the fear for the impending death, intercalating music with the recitation of diaries, poems and texts.
After the concert there was cocktail in which took place an exposition of paintings made by the artists prisoners to the Concentration Camp of Theresienstadt and photos about the life of the deportees during their stay in the camp.
