March in support to Israel

A March in support of Israel took place in Guayaquil on Sunday, January 25th at 13h00. All the participants were wearing white and waving Israeli flags. Thousands came, mainly members of the Evangelical Churches, other Christian Churches joined in, Professionals that had studied in Israel, all the members of the small Jewish Community of Guayaquil, Am Israel (Friends of Israel), handicapped people and public in general.

The march departured from the Centenario Park, marched down the 9th of October Avenue (main street of Guayaquil) till the General Consulate of Israel in Guayaquil, at that point the marchers where greeted by the Ambasador of Israel, Mr. Eyal Sela and the Consul, Mr. Johnny Czarninski. The march was a demonstration of the support of the Ecuadorian people to the State of Israel.
