63rd Anniversary of Independence of Israel

Concerts for university students

As part of the celebrations of the 63rd anniversary of Independence of Israel, the Honorary General Consulate of Israel in Guayaquil offered two concerts of the trio of violinists “The Magic Violins” for university students on May 17th and 18th at the Main Theater of the Centro de Arte.

The universities that attended this event were: Universidad Laica Vicente Rocafuerte, ITSU, UTEG, Universidad del Pacífico, Casa Grande and Ecotec.

Following the tradition of every year, on May 17th, the Consulate of Israel, hosted a dinner before the performance of the violinists to the special guests from Fasinarm and the Plaza Dañín Hospice.

Official Reception

On the occasion of the commemoration of the 63rd Anniversary of Independence of Israel, the Honorary General Consulate of Israel in Guayaquil, hosted a reception on Thursday, May 19th, at the Hilton Colon Hotel, with the Ambassador of Israel to Ecuador Mr. Eyal Sela and several local and provincial authorities, members of the Army Forces, members of the Honorable Consular Corp, church officials, among others. Also were present former fellows of Israel, members of the Jewish Community of Guayaquil and media.

During the celebration a special recognition was made to four students of the Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo, who participated in the United Nations Model representing the State of Israel. Each of them received a plaque for their outstanding participation.

This event presented the trio of young talented violinists “The Magic Violins”.
